Come meet the team, get inspired, and learn how you can be part of the plastic pollution solution.

As a member of Scouts Canada and the World Scout Organization, the Sea Dragon Sea Scout Group is dedicated to providing a challenging and educational program aimed at training today’s youth to becoming tomorrow’s leaders. The group offers Scouting programs in Richmond at Ferris Elementary School for youth ages 5-17.

10th Richmond Sea Scouts

The 10th Richmond Sea Scouts have been providing local youth with opportunities to develop social, personal and community skills continuously since 1957. Following the Canadian Path program as developed by Scouts Canada, our youth develop into well rounded, active participants in our community. The program helps them become helpful, considerate and kind young citizens. With more than 80 active members from Beavers, to Venturers, to Adult Scouters, the 10th Richmond Sea Scouts are a vibrant community group in Richmond. The 10th will be displaying the recently restored Woggle at this year’s Richmond Maritime Festival.

Tourism Richmond provides services to locals and visitors, including sharing the valuable history of Steveston and Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site. Pop by to pick-up Richmond guides, and participate in a family-friendly game.

For over 60 years, the Vancouver Maritime Museum has been sharing stories about the Pacific Northwest and the Arctic and creating experiences that build bridges between the past and future.

Richmond Fire-Rescue provides fire and life safety information to the community. For the festival, we’ll offer information on smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, fire code specifics, marine safety, and bylaw information. We’ll also promote our website, the first of its kind in British Columbia, which provides all of the above information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in 170 different languages.
