Immersed in classical music from a young age, elmo’s very first language was piano. As interests swerved, they taught themselves the guitar much later. Now, elmo’s style ranges from guitar slapping over catchy melodies to dramatic piano runs with subtle jazz influences. They write and sing in the voice of an introspective child with many questions, often exploring themes of growing up, uncertainty, and the quiet tensions of being alive.
