Voyage of the Gikumi
A guided boat tour of the Fraser River’s historic Cannery Channel aboard the MV Gikumi.

Voyage aboard the MV Gikumi, a beautifully restored 1954 west coast work boat, for a two-hour exploration of the mouth of the Fraser River during the Richmond Maritime Festival.
Relax and take in the extraordinary natural beauty of islands and wildlife among the salt marshes of the Fraser River. Along the way, listen to stories of rum runners, leaping sturgeon, rescued whales, and abandoned boats as told by our experienced heritage interpreters.
Departing Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site on August 26th and 27th, this tour is presented in partnership with Tourism Richmond, as a select Pacific.Authentic.Experience.

Tours are weather permitting. Due to the historical nature of the MV Gikumi, these voyages are not wheelchair accessible.
Passengers are invited to bring food and non-alcoholic drinks aboard.
